Getting mixed-case filenames onto a disc is a similar problem. Burning an ISO-9660 disc with lower-case filenames isn't recommended, because some systems aren't able to access the files .... By using a tighter track pitch on the spiral "groove" on the glass master, manufacturers can get more data onto the disc.
